The Role
You will evaluate, design, fit, adjust, and follow patients through their prosthetic and/or orthotic care. You’ll work alongside our clinical team and fabrication lab to ensure every device fits well, functions well, and improves the patient’s quality of life.

This position is open to CPOs, CPs, COs, and Certified Orthotic Fitters (COF). Responsibilities will be based on certification and experience level.

What You’ll Do
– Evaluate patients and determine appropriate prosthetic or orthotic solutions.
– Take measurements, casts, scans, or digital captures as appropriate.
– Work closely with our in-house fabrication lab to design devices that meet clinical goals and patient lifestyle needs.
– Fit, align, adjust, and troubleshoot devices to ensure comfort, safety, and function.
– Educate patients and caregivers on device use, care, and expectations.
– Provide ongoing follow-up to monitor device effectiveness, fit, alignment, and patient progress.
– Maintain clear, accurate clinical documentation according to company and regulatory standards.
– Collaborate professionally with physicians, therapists, case managers, and families.
– For Orthotic Fitters: Perform fittings and follow-ups for braces and orthoses, with opportunities to grow skillset.

What You Bring
Required: ABC Certification or eligibility in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics or Orthotic Fitting. (Residency graduates welcome to apply.)
– Strong clinical reasoning and hands-on adjustment skills.
– Clear and confident communication with patients, families, and clinical partners.
– Dependability and professionalism; ability to follow through and manage a caseload.

– Digital scanning, CAD/CAM, 3D printing.

Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday. Some travel between offices for patient care may be needed, depending on the location.

About the Role
The Medical Operations Manager will oversee and optimize the administrative, technical, and front-office functions across all Leimkuehler locations.
You’ll be the bridge between clinical, technical, and administrative teams, ensuring efficient, compliant, and patient-focused operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with healthcare management experience who thrives on structure, systems, accountability, and teamwork.

The right candidate will bring strong operational experience, insurance and billing knowledge, and the drive to help scale a growing healthcare business.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations across five clinical sites, ensuring consistent quality, compliance, and patient experience.
Lead, train, and support administrative staff across locations—build a culture of accountability, empathy, and teamwork.
Optimize patient scheduling, intake, and insurance authorization workflows to minimize delays and maximize patient satisfaction.
Manage insurance processes including authorizations, EOB reviews, appeals, billing follow-up, and coordination with external payers.
Collaborate with clinical and technical leadership to streamline communication between practitioners, technicians, and front-office teams.
Monitor key metrics—patient flow, turnaround times, collections, and billing accuracy—reporting directly to company leadership.
Maintain EMR/EHR systems to ensure documentation integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Oversee administrative compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and accreditation standards.
Support finance functions: manage QuickBooks entries, accounts payable/receivable, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting.
Coordinate HR processes including onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and performance evaluations.
Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and quality control systems that align with Leimkuehler’s standards of care.
Lead regular team meetings and operational reviews to identify and implement process improvements.
Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives, marketing coordination, and regional expansion planning.

Qualifications
6+ years of experience in medical office management or multi-site healthcare operations (required).
– Proven success managing multi-location healthcare teams with measurable results in efficiency and patient satisfaction.
– Strong understanding of insurance billing, authorizations, and medical compliance.
– Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and QuickBooks.
– Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (required).
– Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
– Working knowledge of ICD-10, HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations.
– Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively.
– Ability to travel between regional offices and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills
– Experience in orthotics, prosthetics, rehabilitation, or similar medical practice settings.
– Familiarity with marketing, patient engagement, or digital communication tools.
– Background in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar).
– Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management and reporting.
– Comfort working alongside executive leadership in a fast-growing organization.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $75,000–$100,000 (commensurate with experience)
Performance-based bonuses tied to efficiency and patient care metrics

The Role
You’ll be the senior, working lead technician who manages day-to-day fabrication operations in Amherst and Toledo, coordinating work for multiple clinicians and offices. You’ll set the bar for workmanship, speed, safety, and consistency—teaching the craft, improving processes, and making sure every device that leaves the bench represents our name.

What You’ll Do
Lead & manage technicians across Amherst (main lab) and Toledo (satellite lab); schedule, assign, and QC work across five offices. 
Fabricate, modify, finish, and repair custom prostheses (UE/LE) and orthoses (AFO/KAFO/spinal/UE), including laminations, vacuum forming, trimming, alignment, and finishing.
Partner with clinicians: interpret work orders, casts/measurements/digital scans; perform bench alignments and functional checks; support rapid turnarounds without sacrificing quality.
Uphold shop standards: enforce safety/PPE, maintain machines, plan preventative maintenance, keep a clean, organized lab.
Inventory & procurement: track materials (thermoplastics, composites, resins, leather/foam, hardware), place orders, control costs, and minimize scrap.
Train & mentor junior techs and apprentices; document SOPs, jigs/fixtures, tips, and finish standards to keep results consistent across locations.
Drive improvement: streamline flows from intake → fab → fitting → adjustments; standardize QC gates; suggest fixtures, templates, and batch processes to cut lead times.
Digital fabrication (plus): if you know 3D printing, CAD/CAM, or scanning software, bring it—help us integrate digital where it makes real-world sense.
Documentation & compliance: record builds, repairs, and material lots in company systems to support billing, traceability, and audits

What It Takes
5+ years professional O&P fabrication (prosthetics & orthotics) with proven leadership (lead tech, shop foreman, or lab manager).
– Mastery of shop methods: layups/laminations, vacuum forming, metal/plastic finishing, alignment, blister-forming, leatherwork, foam finishing.
– Comfortable juggling multi-office priorities: you can triage jobs, communicate clearly, and hit deadlines.
Team-first mindset; calm under pressure; able to coach, correct, and raise the floor without drama.
Preferred/Bonus: Experience with 3D printing, CAD/CAM (e.g., Omega, Canfit, Fusion/Freeform, or similar), and digital scanning.
Nice to have: ABC or equivalent technician certification; OSHA-savvy; fixture/jig creativity.
– Physical ability to safely handle shop equipment, lift up to ~50 lbs, and work with resins/solvents per PPE protocols.

– Ability to follow detailed instructions, manage multiple jobs, and hit deadlines with consistent quality.
– Team-first, dependable, steady under pressure, willing to take feedback and improve.
Bonus: Experience with 3D printing, CAD or CAM, and digital scanning tools.
Nice to have: ABC Technician certification, basic OSHA knowledge.
– Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work safely with resins and solvents using PPE.

Schedule & Location
Full-time, weekday shop hours with occasional overtime. Role is based in Amherst or Toledo. Limited travel may be requested for cross-site coverage.
